Our Guides
Although our guides are peppy and enthusiastic to share their joy of the outdoors with you, they're not young pups. All are well-seasoned outdoor folks with lots of life experience to bring to the party. We have been living in New Mexico for years and love it! |

Lev Bogle, a civil engineer and geologist, has long been an avid hiker, spending as much of his free time as possible afield. Over the years, Lev has walked the hills of central Germany, the mountains of Appalachia and Colorado and the rugged Big Bend area of the Texas borderland. For the past eight years, he has enjoyed exploring the mountains and deserts of northern New Mexico. In addition to a love of the outdoors, he brings an interest in local history and an understanding of the geological processes that produced our state's spectacular scenery.

Dené Canon has spent most of her life guiding people. Her love of the outdoors stems from growing up in the Pacific Northwest and climbing Mt. Rainier over 30 years ago. She is a retired Flight Attendant who has trekked extensively including hiking the Inca trail to Macchu Picchu, climbing Mt. Fuji in Japan, and hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim. Since moving to Santa Fe almost 6 years ago, she is thrilled that there are so many different hikes right out her backdoor and knows Santa Fe has a lot to offer any outdoor enthusiast for all levels of experience. “There is no place that I would rather be than hiking in nature and being outdoors”.

Shirley Lynn was drawn to New Mexico from her native England in 1987 by a love of the wilderness here and a desire to paint it. She is a working artist with a studio/gallery on Canyon Road, but spends much of her time outdoors. She has been very involved in conservation of our natural environment for years, and has used her art to draw awareness to this. An avid trail-runner, skier and snowshoer, she is often on the mountain trails in her spare time. She loves to show visitors the beauty of our state, and feels "very lucky to be living here".
