Why have a guide?
From alpine to desert, Outspire hiking guides enrich your experience by giving context to your hike.  So that your destination is not only what you see (which can be spectacular), but a sense of where the area fits in New Mexico's history, geology and natural world.  No recent arrivals, our guides are long-established Santa Feans who can offer insights the average visitor would miss.

Private guided tours are planned to suit your interests, your fitness level, and your scheduling needs.  Since we keep track of Santa Fe weather forecasts, trail conditions, and seasonal items of interest, we can tell you what to expect and help you better enjoy your time outside.  

Our hiking guides are experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated to share the joy of being outside!  Day hikes and winter snowshoe outings are designed specifically for you - picnic lunches, hot chocolate, etc. can be arranged.  For each trip, you dictate the pace and help select the itinerary.  We provide any required equipment from our own well-maintained inventory; you just bring a readiness for fun.
