Why have a hiking guide?

From Santa Fe 's alpine to desert areas, Outspire tour guides enrich your experience by giving context to your day hike.  So that your outdoor destination is not only what you see during your hike (which can be spectacular), but a sense of where the area fits in New Mexico's history, geology and natural world.   All our hiking guides are long-established Santa Feans who can offer insights the average visitor would miss.  We also know trails and places that aren't in the guidebooks or require our 4WD to reach--places that make for a special experience.

Winter Snowshoeing in Santa Fe Snow has been falling in the mountains and now is the time to plan a New Mexico snowshoe hike. What to expect

Private guided tours are planned to suit your interests, your fitness level, and your scheduling needs.  Since we keep track of Santa Fe, New Mexico weather forecasts, trail conditions, and seasonal items of interest, we can tell you what to expect and help you better enjoy your time outdoors.  

Our hiking guides are experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated to share the joy of being outside!  Day hikes and winter snowshoe outings are designed specifically for you - picnic lunches, hot chocolate, etc. can be arranged.  For each trip, you dictate the pace and help select the itinerary.  We provide any required equipment from our own well-maintained inventory; you just bring a readiness for fun.
